BIO

ZOË RHULEN is a Colorado-grown, New York-based playwright motivated by wildness, myths, and sexuality.

Her plays include DirtDirty Pretty (SPACE on Ryder Farm Creative Residency Semi-Finalist), Mommy and The Pirate (Theater Accident, Hit & Run Reading), 

Six Red Seeds, Slippery (Slingshot Theater Company), and Star Country (New York University).

Zoë was a semi-finalist for the 2022 New Dramatists / Princess Grace Fellowship, and her play Medusa Prays was selected for Red Bull Theater's 12th annual Short New Plays Festival on the theme of Alchemy. Her work has been supported by Arts on Site, Curious Theatre Company, The Lark, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Red Bull Theater, Slingshot Theater Company, and Theater Accident.

Zoë has been commissioned by New Paradigm Theatre to create a feminist retelling of Don Giovanni.
