BIO

ZOË RHULEN is a Colorado-grown, New York-based playwright. Her writing is motivated by wildness, myths, and sexuality. 

Her plays include Six Red Seeds (Theater Accident, Hit & Run Reading), Dirty Pretty (SPACE on Ryder Farm Creative Residency Semi-Finalist), Mommy and The Pirate (Theater Accident, Hit & Run Reading), Slippery (Slingshot Theater Company), Star Country (New York University) and Dirt. Zoë’s play Medusa Prays was selected for Red Bull Theater's 12th annual Short New Plays Festival on the theme of Alchemy.
Zoë's work has been supported by Arts on Site, Curious Theatre Company, The Lark, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Red Bull Theater, Slingshot Theater Company, and Theater Accident. She has been commissioned by New Paradigm Theatre to create a feminist retelling of Don Giovanni.
